ARH 360: Seminar: Renaissance Florence 3 credits This course surveys and evaluates African American art from 1900 to present with emphasis on political, cultural, and social contexts in which works of art were created. The course considers formalist and iconographical readings of work, while exploring topics such as the Harlem Renaissance; Civil Rights, Race, Identity and Postmodernism.
