Summer Session

Professors reviewing slides at a light table
The Department of Art and Art History offers an extensive program of intensive summer art workshops for both undergraduate and graduate students. The program is open to students pursuing a degree from the department, as well as to visiting students. However, permission of the department is required to register as enrollment is limited.

Summer workshops may be used to satisfy requirements for the Master of Arts degree in studio art. Students should refer to the summer Directory of Classes or contact the Department of Art and Art History for a current listing of workshops offered.

Summer Pre-College Intensive Program
In Summer 2009, Adelphi University will launch a new Pre-College Intensive Program in Visual Arts for talented high school students in grades 10, 11, and 12. This exciting program will provide students with the opportunity to be truly immersed in their art and substantially strengthen their skills while being part of a challenging University-based learning community.
