Introduction
Students seeking New York State Certification (K-12) in the teaching of art pursue a course of study that combines a rigorous foundation in studio art with the necessary education courses required for certification.
Students are only required to take one art education course in their sophomore year. This allows them time to hone their talent in studio arts. The commitment to seek a Bachelor of Arts degree in education is made in their junior year.
