MUH 251: Music, Culture And Society: Focus On China And India 3 credits This is an introductory historical survey of musical traditions of the two most populous and prominent economic countries of the world, China and India. Representative musical examples from the many ethnic traditions of these nations will be closely studied, leading toward the consideration of current musical practices in these countries.
