I am proud to be a graduate of Adelphi University, class of 2004. After graduation I was accepted into medical school and am currently pursuing a career in internal medicine. Looking back, I wouldn’t be where I am today, both personally and professionally if it wasn’t for my education at Adelphi. Being both a biology major and a student of the Honors College I was given tremendous opportunities: from participating in genetics research and being offered outstanding internships at local hospitals to attending world-class Broadway plays in Manhattan. However, what stood out most during my time at Adelphi were the relationships I built with my professors. They truly loved teaching and were always there for their students. To this day I still keep in touch with many of my professors.

The Biology professors were dedicated and caring, and thoroughly prepared me with a strong background in science. Through the education department, I was able to get an internship in the Bellmore-Merrick school district, where I am currently teaching. I enjoyed being at Adelphi so much that I decided to go back and get my master's degree in psychology. I will graduate with a masters in psychology at Adelphi in May 2008.
