In partnership with various departments and interdisciplinary programs within the University as well as outside organizations, Adelphi's Center for African American & Ethnic Studies Programs hosts a number of exciting events for students, faculty, administrators, and the local community.
- Two Annual Lectures The John Hope Franklin Distinguished Lecture and the James Baldwin Lecture on Literary and Social Criticism feature some of the most prominent scholars and intellectuals of our time.
- A Senior Scholastic Awards Ceremony held toward the end of the academic year recognizes students who attain and exhibit scholastic excellence and remarkable leadership qualities. CAAESP also honors an alum who has achieved outstanding success in their field of professional endeavor.
- African-American Solidarity Day is co-sponsored with the UMOJA Committee of the Student Activities Board of the Student Government Association.
- An Annual Art Exhibit features the work of Adelphi alums and people of African descent, and is co-sponsored with Adelphi's Art Department.
- An Annual Kwanzaa Festival, held on campus, is co-sponsored with the African People's Organization (APO) and includes exhibitions, prayer services, and dance performances.
