CHE 470: Principles Of Toxicology 3 credits Biochemical interactions between living systems and acute toxins are explored by examining effects of endogenous and foreign chemical and physical agents on metabolic processes. Toxicity test methods and problems of extrapolating test data to human risk assessment are discussed. Non-animal toxicity testing is examined. Three lecture classes meet each week.
