Students interested in applying for internships should register for Communications 493 and must meet the following prerequisites:
- junior status
- a minimum GPA of 2.8
- receive department approval
For every credit granted, students must work at least five hours per week at the internship placement. Students may take a maximum amount of nine professional internship credits.
Students who secure a placement must complete a learning contract (PDF 20KB) with their internship supervisor and submit it to Helen Stritzler, internship coordinator, who will review it and add the department stamp indicating the internship has been approved for credit.
