|

|
Human ecology studies the complex biocultural interactions of human populations with their varied environmental and geographic context through time. This subject is the focus of the subfields of human evolutionary processes, ecology and adaptation, biogenetic variation, cultural behavior, and epidemiology. These subfields often treated separately are merely starting points on the road to a common goal/into a coherent statement, the benefit of an in depth understanding of ourselves, past and present, and of our dynamic interactions and effects on the intricate natural cycles of the biospheric system.
