HIS 218: Renaissance And Reformation Europe 1300-1648 3 credits This course covers the Italian Renaissance as an urban, secular development and the Northern Renaissance that contributed to a program of Christian Reform. The course will also cover the Protestant reformation as a European religious schism. It will deal with the Reformation as a religious movement with far reaching political and social implications for Europe and America.
