History Department's Annual Awards Dinner:
April 30, 2009
The Awards Dinner took place at the Orchid Restaurant on April 30, 2009. At this event, qualified students were inducted into the National History Honor Society, Phi Alpha Theta, and outstanding juniors and seniors are recognized with scholarships and awards.

In addition to a $40.00 induction fee, the criteria for induction into Phi Alpha Theta are:
12 credits in history courses completed
3.1 GPA in history
3.0 GPA overall

Jeremy Black is one of Britain’s most distinguished historians. He is the author of more than sixty books including: War and the World: Military Power and the Fate of Continents, 1450-2000 (Yale UP, 1998), and War: Past, Present, and Future (St. Martin’s, 2000). He has lectured widely at major universities in the United States and is a frequent lecturer at the United States Military Academy.
