The study of language gives you a new perspective to understand and appreciate different cultures.
The department currently offers language majors in French and Spanish. If you are considering combining language study with business or political science, please review the International Studies section.
The foreign language curriculum enables students to acquire and expand their fluency (in listening, speaking, reading, and writing) in languages, while studying the contributions and institutions of Europe, the Caribbean, and Latin America, as well as Québec and French-speaking regions of Africa.
The language laboratory, which features interactive audio and video technology, enables students to become immersed in the language and culture they have chosen to study.
