Undergraduate Computer Science Programs
To graduate with a degree in mathematics or computer science, majors
must have a grade-point average of at least 2.0 in all mathematics and
computer science courses, with at most one grade lower than a C. This
applies to those courses that have been taken at Adelphi and are in
fulfillment of degree requirements.
The Major in Computer Science
The major in computer science requires 59 credits of coursework
in mathematics and computer science, and 8 in lab-science.

one of the following sequences:
The Minor in Computer Science
Students wishing to pursue a minor in computer
science should consult with the appropriate advisor in the department.
Minors will be awarded only to students who maintain a grade-point
average of 2.0 in all those courses taken at Adelphi fulfilling the
requirements. The minor requires the following 23 credits of coursework:
- CSC-MTH 156 Discrete Structures
- CSC 171 Introduction to Computer Programming
- CSC 172 Introduction to Algorithms and Data Structures
- CSC 174 Computer Organization and Assembly Language
- CSC 270 Survey of Programming Languages
- CSC 271 Software I: Utilities and Internals
- At least one additional course chosen with the approval of the
departmental minor advisor.
