[Adelphi] [Study] [A & S] [Math/CS Dept.] [Courses & Programs] [Undergraduate Mathematics] Undergraduate Mathematics ProgramsTo graduate with a degree in mathematics or computer science, majors must have a grade-point average of at least 2.0 in all mathematics and computer science courses, with at most one grade lower than a C. This applies to those courses that have been taken at Adelphi and are in fulfillment of degree requirements.
The Major in MathematicsThe major in mathematics requires 45 credits of coursework:
Effective Fall 2007,
MTH 431 and
MTH 457 will be reduced from 4 credits
to 3. The MinorStudents wishing to pursue a minor in mathematics should consult with the appropriate advisor in the department. Minors will be awarded only to students who maintain a grade-point average of 2.0 in all those courses taken at Adelphi fulfilling the requirements.The mathematics minor requires 22 credits of coursework:
