Auditions
All students (including transfers) hoping to study acting at Adelphi must contact the main theatre office at 516.877.4930 to arrange for an audition.
The audition is distinct from the application and acceptance process of the University.
The audition should consist of two monologues of two-three minutes each. The maximum total should be six minutes. One monologue should be classical (Shakespeare, Marlowe, Moliere, Greek theatre, etc.) and the other contemporary.
Avoid using monologue books: what you choose, many other are as well.
The faculty suggests that you audition on one of our frequent audition days. By auditioning on these dates, you'll be able to see work being performed or rehearsed, talk with students in the program and meet faculty
