Adjunct Faculty: Joan Dawidziak

Principal Oboist of New York’s One World Symphony for the past 5 years, Joan Dawidziak made her New York debut in a Town Hall sponsored concert played to a sold out audience last week. Other accomplishments include- Principal Oboe 92nd St Y, Reading Orchestra-15 Years, Amato Opera, Regina Opera, New York Virtuoisi, Richmond County Orchestra, Garden State Opera, Choral Society of the Hamptons, Nassau Symphony, Garden State Symphonic Band, Adelphi University Orchestra and many others. She is oboe solist with the famed international Calvavrx Temple in Wayne, New Jersey.

Joan’s compositions have been performed by the One World Symphony and other local groups. Her most recent composition is an oboe concerto which she hopes to perform.

Her teaching credits include five years on staff with the Eastern Suffolk School of Music oboe and composition. She is a sub at Queens College Preparatory Division Oboe and is an Adjunct Professor at Adelphi University.

Her Education was in Oboe studies in private and master classes with great oboists of our time, Richard Woodhams, Joseph Robinson, Albert Maltzer, Ronald Roseman, and Ruis Wann. Harmony and Counterpoint studies with Paul Caputo.
