MUA 112: Ear Training, Diction And Sight Singing 1 credit This first course in a 4-course sequence focuses on the development of students’ musical and aural abilities, and includes exercises in melodic, rhythmic and harmonic dictation; rhythmic performance; sight-reading of melodies; and aural recognition of intervals, chords and harmonic progressions. Exercises become more harmonically and rhythmically complex through the sequence.
