MUA 211: Theory And Harmony I V 3 credits This course focuses on complex chromatic and harmonic principles, particularly Neapolitan and augmented sixth chords, and ends with an overview of harmonic practices in the late 19th Century including extended chromatic tonal harmony as well as compositional and analytical techniques of the 20th Century.
