MUH 250: Music, Culture And Society: Major Traditions Of The World 3 credits This survey course introduces students to the major musical traditions of the world. Students will study structures, scales, instruments, and cultural elements of music from Asia, Africa, Europe, Australia, and the Americas, supplemented by historical and contemporary recordings and films. Ability to read music is not required.
