The past and present members of Adelphi's Performing Arts Department perform all over the country and across the globe in a wide variety of venues and productions. Here are some of the new and exciting things that our students, faculty, and alumni have accomplished:

After 15 years of award-winning service at Adelphi University, our own Peter Borchetta (Lighting and Production Technical Director) has left to become the Northeast Regional manager for Genlyte.

Music Professor Receives New Honor
October 2007

Sidney Marquez Boquiren (Assistant Professor, Department of Music) was recently awarded a three-week residency at the prestigious MacDowell Colony over the 07/08 winter. While at the Colony, Prof. Boquiren will be working on The Rosary Project, an evening-long staged production for amplified voice, amplified flutes, electronics, and percussion ensemble, to be premiered in the Netherlands in the fall of 2008. Prof. Boquiren joins Prof. Christopher Lyndon-Gee and Prof. Joanne Metcalf in receiving this award. (Both professors Lyndon-Gee and Metcalf have previously worked at the MacDowell Colony.)

February ACDFA Festival: Adelphi Dance Shine Again!
February 2007

Between February 7-11, 2007, 9 dance students and Prof. Frank Augustyn and Adjunct Prof. Leda Meredith participated and distinguished themselves in the New England Region ACDFA Conference held in Williamstown, Massachusetts.
