Undergraduate Degrees in Theatre

 The Department of Theatre offers specialized programs in Acting and Design/Technology that will prepare you for a life in the profession. Students enrolled in these B.F.A. theatre degree programs receive close mentoring by our dedicated faculty and staff who have extensive performance and academic experience. With a wide array of classes and workshops, over 20 productions annually, and extensive hands-on involvement in designing, construction, painting and realization, our theatre degree programs give you the opportunity to:

  • Expand the boundaries of artistry and creativity
  • Gain critically valuable practical skills.
Students who major in theatre may choose concentrations in acting or design/technical theatre to prepare for a lifetime of practice in drama, music, and dramatic movement. Adelphi's theatre degree programs offer a unique blend of theatrical practice—the skills, crafts, and attitudes necessary to succeed in theatre, films and television—with the tradition of liberal learning through which each new generation of creators and critics reinterprets and revitalizes these arts. To this end, the Department of Theatre offers programs leading to a B.F.A. degree in theatre arts with specializations in acting and design/technical theatre.
