The Physics club promotes the knowledge of physics, engineering, math, and related sciences. The club fosters a closer relationship among students with similar interests and promotes interaction between students and faculty. The Physics Club incorporates the student chapters of the Optical Society of America (OSA) and the Society of Physics Students (SPS). Membership is open to all with an interest in physics or an appreciation of science.
Sigma Pi Sigma, the national physics honor society, recognizes academic achievement and scholarship. Juniors and seniors are eligible for membership. They are elected by the department in recognition of their outstanding scholarship and inducted into Sigma Pi Sigma in a year-end ceremony.
