PHY 380: Electromagnetic Theory 4 credits A study of electric and magnetic fields: electrostatics, Gauss' law, LaPlace's and Poissons' equations, multipoles, dielectrics, magnetic induction, Bio-Savart and Ampere's law, magnetic properties of matter, Faraday's law, Maxwell's equations, energy and momentum, electromagnetic waves, and guided waves.
