The study of sociology can enhance many different areas of concentration, including anthropology, communications, history and business. Students who minor in sociology are encouraged to select an adviser from the department and to participate in department activities. Students who major in anthropology may have the same adviser for both disciplines.
To fulfill the requirements for a minor in sociology, students must complete 22 credits that include four required and three elective courses.

Students who minor in sociology must meet the same curricular requirements as majors and maintain a 2.5 GPA to continue.
