Presentation Formats

You may submit a poster or an oral/Power Point presentation. Please remember that this includes creative works.

Poster Presentation Format
If you choose to present a poster, your project will be displayed on a 4' x 6' cork poster board and set up in the UC Ballroom, Room 201. You should be available to discuss your poster with faculty and student reviewers, and other interested members of the Adelphi community.

Oral/Power Point Presentation Format
If you choose to do an oral presentation, you are required to give a fifteen minute Power Point presentation which should include a brief introduction, slides, written text to accompany slides, and concluding comments.

Both poster and oral presentations should reflect the findings of your research and/or project. All presentations should consider the following:
  • Abstract - summarizes all major parts of your project
  • Introduction - justifies the importance of the topic, issue, or position and describes the objectives of the project.
  • Method - describes your approach, and where applicable and appropriate to discipline includes the design, sample, data collection, procedure, and approach to data analysis.
  • Results - presents the findings.
  • Discussion - discusses the findings and their significance, summarizes, and give recommendations.
  • References - cites and/or lists resources as applicable
