More About the Program
ACN is located in Moss, Norway, a charming town on the Oslo Fjord with approximately 40,000 residents. It has all the benefits of a large city but with a small-town feel. Within walking distance of the ACN campus you will find a new shopping mall, movie theater, galleries, cafes and markets.
The ACN features a course selection ideal for freshmen and sophomores (but upperclassmen can go too). Classes are taught in English (except for the class on Norwegian language) and typically, students take courses with Norwegians and a few Americans. Norwegian students go to ACN for one year and then have the option to transfer to Adelphi. So, Adelphi students returning to the States might be bringing a few Norwegian friends with them. Adelphi students have the option to study in Norway for a semester, year or summer.
Moss is a 45 minute train ride from Oslo, Norway’s capital city, a thoroughly modern and vibrant Scandinavian city that showcases an energetic nightlife, festivals, sporting events, concerts and other cultural experiences…not to mention the restaurants, theaters, shops and historical sites. In addition to being so close to Olso, Moss is a gateway to the rest of Europe, with the local airport offering regular, inexpensive flights to dozens of European cities. From the local train station, which is a short walk from campus, you can make connections to cities in Norway, Sweden, and beyond.
