We have identified several options to help you pay for Adelphi in Florence. Please note the specific eligibility requirements for each type of financial aid.
Federal Stafford Loans
Students taking summer academic courses are eligible for federal Stafford Loans only if they take at least 6 credits over the summer. Since Adelphi in Florence is only 3 credits, students will need to take at least 3 additional credits at Adelphi during Summer Session II to meet the 6 credit eligibility requirement.
TAP
Students taking summer academic courses are eligible for TAP only if they take at least 6 credits over the summer. Since Adelphi in Florence is only 3 credits, students will need to take at least 3 additional credits at Adelphi during Summer Session II. However, to be eligible for a summer TAP grant, students must be enrolled full time in either the semester directly preceding the summer term or following it. For example, students must take at least 12 credits in either spring or fall to be eligible.
Pell Grants
Additional Pell Grants are not available for summer courses. However, students who have received Pell Grants may apply any unused amount from the spring or fall semester to pay for Adelphi in Florence.
Alternative Loans
Some banks offer private loans to students for educational expenses. These alternative loans are not federally funded and have higher interest rates. For example, Citibank offers CitiAssist. For more information go to http://www.studentloan.com/schools/adelphi/.
Scholarships
The Office of Student Financial Services Web site provides resouce links to assist students in searching for scholarships that may help to defray the costs of attending Adelphi in Florence. Students can use Fastweb, a search engine specifically for scholarships.
