Levermore Global Scholars Program (LGS) has launched a special Global Bridge Program for High School students who share interest in global studies, community service, voluntary work, learning by doing and participating in various cultural events.

The Global Bridge Program with the Levermore Global Scholars is a perfect choice for you if you:

  • Would Like to Earn College Credits While Still in High School

  • Would Like to Attend a Discussion-Driven and Writing Intensive College Seminar

  • Would Like to Become Part of a small Learning Community of Students United in their Passion for Community Work and Enthusiasm for Global Learning

  • Would Like to Learn about Global Problems and Issues

  • Would Like to Participate in various Community Activities led by the LGS Scholars

  • Would Like to Attend Shows, Plays, Concerts, and International Events in New York City as Part of the LGS Cultural Program

  • Would Like to Experience a Smoother Transition from High School  into the College Community while Forming Lasting Friendships with other Students

We strongly encourage underrepresented students to apply to the Global Bridge Program.

The Global Bridge Program is open to a select and limited number of talented High School Seniors interested in learning about global and local issues, engaging in community service, and participating in numerous LGS cultural and social events.

The students who join the Global Bridge Program will have an excellent opportunity to:

After being admitted to the program, the High School Seniors will become Global Bridge Scholars. They will be allowed to join one 3-credit LGS Freshman seminar per semester and study together with other LGS Freshman Scholars.

Fall Semester (end of August – second half of December)

  • LGS 110 First Year Seminar (3 credits)

Spring Semester (end of January – second half of May)

  • LGS 201 Writing from a Global Perspective (3 credits)

In addition to attending the LGS seminar, the Global Bridge Scholars will be invited to join a number of events sponsored or coordinated by LGS, among others:
