At Adelphi University, we understand that every student is an individual, and every student takes a different path to reach his or her goals.
The General Studies Program is your opportunity to experience everything Adelphi has to offer. This unique program combines freshman year liberal arts courses with individual tutoring and counseling that sets you on the path to success. At the end of freshman year, students who have successfully completed the program are accepted as matriculating sophomores into Adelphi's other undergraduate programs.

General Studies News
Since its inception in the fall of 2004, the vision of General Studies News has remained simple: student-focused, student-written. Each issue is centered on three components: to demystify the program by having students discuss the various aspects of GS through interviews with our staff; to highlight accomplishments of alumni; and to recognize outstanding academic achievement in the GS Program.
