Writing Contest
In commemoration of our 25th Anniversary, the General Studies Program invites written submissions from present and former students to our essay contest on the subject "what General Studies means to you." Contributions (up to a thousand words) may range from the general to the particular, according to your taste and motivation. Judged on the basis of originality and clarity, the best will most vividly convey the meaning of the program. All contributions will be prized and taken to heart.
Deadline is February 1, 2010

Since its inception in the fall of 2004, the vision of General Studies News has remained simple: student-focused, student-written. Each issue is centered on three components: to demystify the program by having students discuss the various aspects of GS through interviews with our staff; to highlight accomplishments of alumni; and to recognize outstanding academic achievement in the GS Program.
