Welcome to the website of the School of Nursing at Adelphi University. I encourage you to look through our website at our growing programs of excellence in both undergraduate and graduate nursing as I am sure you will find something meeting your needs. I also encourage you to come back frequently, as we are modifying our existing programs and adding some new, exciting graduate tracks to better meet the changing needs of the nursing and healthcare environment.
This is an exciting time to be at Adelphi University as it continues its rebound and to become a more engaged university. We at the School of Nursing are proud to be part of the university transformation and to be connected with our health care communities and providers of New York. The Adelphi University School of Nursing has been educating nurses at the baccalaureate level for over sixty years and has over 7,000 alumni throughout the world.
There is currently a critical shortage of nurses in the world and this shortage threatens the quality of health care both in our nation and the world. There has never been a time with so many opportunities for registered nurses. Nursing careers allow for flexibility in work schedules and work environments while providing appropriate compensation and personal satisfaction. Partnerships with more than 100 clinical affiliates, in a variety of health care settings, help provide our students with rich and diverse clinical experiences, allowing them to become competent practitioners upon graduation while choosing their practice environment.
Our faculty are experienced in their fields and recognized for their excellence in teaching, scholarship, research, and practice. While Adelphi continues its transformation, we at the school of nursing have been undergoing a transformation as well. Due to increased enrollment of a diverse and bright student body, we are able to welcome three new faculty members, who enjoy national recognition in their fields of study.
Our students are the future, and they will maintain and improve health care quality in the world. We welcome you to join them. It is a perfect time to do something rewarding with your life!
I invite you to look over our site for information about your specific areas of interest. Look at our profiles, projects, and programs. Whether you are an experienced nurse looking for advanced practice roles or choosing a first or second career, we can meet your needs. I wish you the best in your pursuit of new horizons; we can help you reach them!
Best regards,
