 Adelphi’s Faculty Center for Professional Excellence (FCPE) was established to provide faculty with opportunities for development and support in the pursuit of teaching. The FCPE Director is Astrid Palm.
Faculty technology training and support is a main component of the FCPE, open to all faculty members free of charge. These services include:
- Access to five full time and seven part time FCPE staff members
- Enhancing teaching and scholarship with technology
- Implementing technology projects in the curriculum
- Developing effective Moodle course environments

- Professional portfolio development
- Online surveys, quizzes and exams
- Multimedia development and presentation

- Videotaping your instruction for personal or professional reference
- Online archives of previous training programs and materials
- Online editions of the faculty teaching and research newsletter
- Help for analyzing teaching in terms of questions such as:
- How did you help and encourage students to learn?
- What tangible outcomes do you want students to achieve as a result of your class?
- How have you helped them achieve success?
