image: Adelphi in Florence Adelphi in Florence Program
Students can trace the beginnings of modern culture in Florence, heart of the Renaissance. Through a combination of classes, museum trips, and tours, this three-credit interdisciplinary course explores the interrelationship of art, literature culture, and history. The course runs for three weeks, from May 22 to June 12, 2008.

In conjunction with ELS Language Centers, Adelphi offers one of the most comprehensive programs in the country. ELS Language Centers, a division of Berlitz International, provide intensive English instruction to students who need to learn English thoroughly and quickly.

The General Studies Program is a unique program designed for students who demonstrate potential for success but require more personalized attention to reach their goals. The Program, with a mandatory non-remedial freshman liberal arts curriculum, features small classes, individual tutoring, and professional counseling.

Students choose non-traditional learning experiences during January Intersession, explore art galleries or museums, intensive writing or language acguisition , and study abroad.

By combining undergraduate studies with professional programs, highly motivated students can achieve their degrees in less time. Through partnerships with prestigious intuitions, students can earn degrees in computer science, dentistry, engineering, environmental studies, law, optometry, and physical therapy.

Students with learning disabilities and/or AD/HD find the opportunity, structure, and support to achieve their academic goals in the mainstream of university life. Through a low student/staff ratio, experienced professionals offer intensive academic assistance and personalized attention.

The Levermore Global Scholars Program will provide a small group of Adelphi University students with a dynamic and enriched educational experience, both within and beyond the classroom. The program will give participants the opportunity for community involvement, interdisciplinary study, global learning, and immersion into the cultural and artistic life of New York City.
Pre-College Program
Adelphi University is proud to launch three Pre-College programs for talented high school students in dance, jazz, and theatre technology and design. These exciting programs provide students with the opportunity to be truly immersed in the arts and substantially strengthen their skills.

Students can choose from an extensive course list to earn extra credits, fulfill course requirements, or explore a new field during summer sessions at Garden City, Hauppage, and Manhattan. Adelphi also offers Summer Arts Experience workshops in music, performing arts, visual arts, and communication.
