Registration

Students may register for classes with their adviser in-person, over the phone, via e-mail or, if more convenient, they may register online. Before beginning the registration process, all transcripts from other institutions must be received by the Office of Admissions, immunization records must be submitted to Health Services, and tuition from the current semester must be paid.*

Registering online is easy. Registration is done through the C.L.A.S.S. (Course Listing, Advising, and Student Services) system. You will be able to select your courses, notify your advisor, and (with your advisor’s approval) complete your registration from the comfort of your home or office computer.  C.L.A.S.S. is available to all enrolled student anytime via Adelphi’s eCampus.

Once you have accessed the CLASS system, you must create a PIN to begin the process. After you log into the system, click on “My Registration”. If your adviser or major isn’t listed correctly, contact your Academic Adviser. To clear any holds on your registration, contact the department listed. Once you complete your course selections, hit the “Submit” button. Your registration will then be forwarded to your adviser for approval. When you see that your registration has been approved, you must resubmit in order to complete the registration process. You will not be registered for your classes until you resubmit.

Students will receive notification from Adelphi University prior to each semester regarding the dates when registration will begin. Dates and times for registering are calculated according to the student’s total number of credits. The same information can be found on the student’s registration page on the website. In order to prevent being closed out of classes, it is important to submit your registration as early as possible. Seats in classes are based on room capacity. A closed class is closed with no exceptions. University College students are permitted to register for any undergraduate courses offered through the School of Arts and Sciences, the Department of Communication Disorders, and the School of Business. Check with your adviser regarding departmental stamps required for some of these courses. Classes taken outside of University College will be applied to the student’s undergraduate transcript and credits will be added to the total of number of credits the student has earned.
