Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts: Studio Art |
This area of concentration is a cooperative program between University College and Adelphi’s department of art and art history. Candidates for this degree must have completed at least 120 credits, 60 of which must be in the liberal arts. The final 30 credits must be taken in graded course work at the University, and no more than 60 of the total credits may be awarded from Prior Learning credits.

Requirements for the B.A. in Fine Arts
The distribution requirement for the Bachelor of Arts will be fulfilled as follows:
Four foundation courses including one art history course and a minimum of 16 credits in advanced art courses.


Who Should Apply
The Fine Arts program attracts students from a wide variety of academic and professional backgrounds. Many students who decide to pursue a B.A. in Fine Arts are already working in careers that utilize arts skills. For example, professionals in the fields of graphic design, marketing and publishing have sought to advance their career by earning this degree. In some cases, students have completed coursework that includes fine arts classes at another school, and are seeking to finish their undergraduate degree at Adelphi.
